Big Green

As you all probably know , our 1975 Seagrave fire engine has been absent from the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade for about the past 2 years due to various mechanical issues and the lack of a good home for the truck, Over the last several months the executive board has been in talks with Tinicum Township in Delaware County  for use of the old Lester Fire Company Fire House.

We are please to announce that in October we reached an agreement with Tinicum Township for use of the fire house and the truck has been since relocated to the Lester Fire House. The truck will need a very thorough cleaning and some mechanical work and new tires before it can hit the street. We hope to have this done in the very near future and to have the truck ready for the parade in March.

We have allot of ideas for the truck and how the division can benefit financially from the truck but all these ideas will require allot of planning and fundraising. One of the ideas is to form a separate organization such as a “ Home Association “ which would take ownership of the truck.

Whatever we chose to do , it will certainly require allot of planning and fundraising . A work detail for the truck will be held soon. A very special thank you goes out to Hubert , Jinks ,Dan Cline and Tim Mcshea for all there work with the truck.

2012 Dues

Brothers it is very important that your dues are paid on time every year, if your dues are not paid we may be forced to drop you from the rolls and we do not want to do that , so if you are having financial difficulty contact Bob Haley to make arrangements. The division has to put out money to the national, county and state boards every year for members on the division rolls , so by paying your dues you replenish the division coffers.

Dues for 2011 & 2012 are 30$ , were sorry about the increase but the per capita by the county ,sate and national have gone up. Please pay your dues at your earliest convenience  , payment can be made by mail or at our meetings. Dues for years prior to 2011 are 25$...Thank you.
